In a world filled with inequality, lack of opportunities, gender-based violence, and a high rate of sexually transmitted diseases, where communication is increasingly becoming a poorly used tool, the lack of young ideas and leadership is being felt more than ever.
Therefore, DREAM PROJECT, in collaboration with FRIENDS OF YOUR HEALTH, successfully carried out an outstanding partnership on May 22 and 23, 2026, in Dajabón, Dominican Republic, to deliver a training program entitled “Sports for Life” (“Deportes para la Vida”) to more than a dozen participants, including seven healthcare professionals from Fort-Liberté, Haiti.
This training opened the eyes of these young participants to the importance of awareness campaigns and community education on HIV and STI prevention. It also taught them how to use clearer and more understandable communication methods in order to reach more people and make them aware of the realities and responsibilities they face.
Following the training, the healthcare professionals and all other participants committed themselves to developing projects within their communities to support children through sports and dynamic recreational activities. They also pledged to spread these important messages in schools, churches, and families, helping to transform perspectives and ways of thinking among a large number of people.
This is our role as an organization: to change lives and help people discover new skills in leadership and education. As the saying goes: “Knowledge that is not shared was never worth having.” There is nothing more regrettable than a talent that is never appreciated at its full potential.
